Cross-country skiing is a popular and in particular a very health sport. Saalbach-Hinterglemm and the region are home to numerous kilometres of perfectly prepared trails for classic and skate style skiing. From the simple valley trail to challenging trails with steep ascents and long descents up to the vantage points on the Höhenloipe mountain trail – there is a track to suit every cross-country skier here. Saalbach is home to the two-trail Talschlussloipe valley route which extends over 10 km or the 2 km long two-trail Höhenloipe mountain route on the Reiterkogel.

Winter walkers can seek freedom and recharge their batteries over 22 footpaths and 140 km of trails.
